This intercom radio cell phone (two way radio phone) is called Vefone T900. It is a special cell phone because of its PTT (push to talk) function. Without the removable antenna, it looks like a normal cell phone. With this Babiken Vefone T900 mobile phone, you can talk to any other same-frequency intercom radios anywhere even when there is no mobile phone signal. The maker says the distance of walkie talkie capability for two T900 can go almost 2KM. By my hands-on, it is easy to use PTT function on T900 phone: go to the PTT icon and set two T900 or any other intercom radio to the same frequency and then talk to each other. But there is very small pity that the PTT icon only shows up when you insert a sim card (any sim card) in the phone. Because this PTT intercom phone is based on non-smart MTK chipset, the price is very affordable for everyday users.

It is not a fresh thing for a mobile phone featuring walkie-talkie functionality; but never has a phone gone so deep into intercom functionality.

Vefone T900's screen is just a 2.4-inch QVGA display. Though it is smaller than most big-screen smartphones, it serves better as a phone of walkie-talkie. Naturally, it comes with a mighty but removable antenna which will better facilitate its walkie-talkie functionality. The golden antenna interface of MCX standard is to minimize the depth of the phone. To better facilitating customers’ DIY antenna compatibility, this phone comes along with customized adaptor of MCX to SMA standard antenna interface. On the back, large speakers will do the job of offering clear and loud sound to meet the volume requirement of walkie-talkie.

T900 enables frequency range from 400Hzm all the way to 470Hzm, sporting manual-input frequency and able to save up to 20 frequency channels. Obviously, T900 strives to make its walkie-talkie function reach a professional level by equipping its walkie talkie with features of frequency difference, squelch, CTCSS、CDCSS. This will contribute a lot to the pragmatic use of walkie talkier, which will no longer be an insignificant existence on the phone.
